New York CNN —Watch out “Connections,” LinkedIn says it’s adding a variety of games aimed at making actual connections. The Microsoft-owned platform, best known for professional networking and sharing news, is taking a page from the New York Times and adding three, free “thinking-oriented” games as a way to tap into the explosive popularity of brain-busting puzzles people are adding to their daily routine. People share articles less to push advice on people and more because “they’re trying to build meaningful relationships,” Daniel Roth, editor in chief of LinkedIn, told CNN. “We’ve seen that with the recent explosion of short games that help you.”What are the games? Three Antarctic penguin species — emperor penguins, southern rockhopper penguins and macaroni penguins — are listed as vulnerable or near threatened. Before H5N1 arrived in the Antarctic region last fall, highly pathogenic bird flu viruses had never been documented in the area before. And because they breed in large, crowded colonies, once one penguin is infected, the virus could spread rapidly, causing mass mortalities. (As the virus spread through South America last year, Chile reported the deaths of thousands of Humboldt penguins.) The extent of the virus’s spread in Antarctic penguin populations remains unclear, and the king penguin cases have not yet been confirmed.

Brian Kemp's new health plan for low-income adults has enrolled only 1,343 people through the end of September about three months after launching, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports. The Georgia Department of Community Health has projected up to 100,000 people could eventually benefit from Georgia Pathways to Coverage. But the nation’s only Medicaid program that makes recipients meet a work requirement is off to a very slow start. In addition to imposing a work requirement, Pathways limits coverage to able-bodied adults earning up to 100% of the poverty line — $14,580 for a single person or $30,000 for a family of four. State officials and supporters of Pathways say the work requirement will also help transition Medicaid recipients to better, private health insurance, and argue that working, studying or volunteering leads to improved health.

In March, the core PCE gauge grew by 4.6%. Economists had forecast that core PCE would hold steady at 4.6%, according to Refinitiv. Consumer spending jumped 0.8% in April from March, double what economists had expected. Excluding the effects of inflation, real consumer spending increased 0.5%, reflecting a boost seen from new car purchases, according to the report.

TikTok approved 90% of ads that contained blatantly false or misleading information, the researchers found. The researchers withdrew the ads after going through the approval process, if they were approved, so the ads containing misinformation were not shown to users. Last month, TikTok took additional steps to safeguard the veracity of political content ahead of the midterms. Google also took steps in September to protect against election misinformation, elevating trustworthy information and displaying it more prominently across services including search and YouTube.

Sunt și tineri foarte talentați care au devenit autonomi financiar datorită muncii lor în domeniul montajului video sau al picturii. Ne leagă o relație de respect și grijă aș spune, lucru pentru care sunt foarte recunoscătoare. Ceea ce am observat la ei, comparativ cu tinerii noștri, este că ei discută mult mai ușor despre viața lor personală și despre subiecte tabu cu oricine. Suntem doar patru internaționali și doar eu provin dintr-o țară cu populație nevorbitoare de limbă franceză. Am cunoscut și studenți români, ceea ce este îmbucurător.
